Hola FLPers! My name is Kara Mia Villamin Villanueva, I know… it’s an excessively long name for a short girl. Anyway, I’m a second year Microbiology student from a little town called Oviedo, Florida. I love food (such as Starbucks), music (ranging from jazz, musicals to pop), tv (Grey’s Anatomy), movies (NOT Twilight), and my social networks: basically being a normal college kid. I’m a girl that enjoys life and loves to be drama free and loves to excel in academics lol. But enough about me, I want to know more about you! Hi FLPers! I’m a 2nd year accounting major from Lakeland, FL. (863 represent!) I love photography, playing volleyball and tennis, meeting new people, shopping, EATING, and just having a good time! I’m so excited for this year and can’t wait to make many FLP memories. I know the transition into college may seem intimidating but that’s why you have us directors and mentors! We’re here for ya! Feel free to talk to me about anything (when I say anything…I mean anything: academics, FLP, getting involved, other sub-orgs, your love life, partying, etc!) Words of wisdom: take advantage of your resources and don’t be scared to go out to events! If you need someone to go with, I’m here for ya! Well, welcome to FLP!

Hello, my name is Vane and I am from Saint Petersburg, Florida. This up coming fall will be my second year at UF. I am currently majoring in accounting but I still really don’t know what I want to do with my life. Before FLP, the only things I did were watch TV, play WoW, and study all day. After an exciting year and meeting new people, I now enjoy doing other things like cooking, going to the gym, play sports. I spend a lot of my time on my computer either watching lectures or just surfing the web. I rarely go home so I am usually in gainesville every weekend. I like to invite my friends over to play poker and take their money. Recently I have picked up how to play Mahjong and it seems like a lot of fun. I hope to see you all next fall and maybe give you guys a chance to test your luck.

I’m a second year Health Science major from Sanford, Florida, and I want to be a pediatric physician assistant (P.A.) when I grow up. I’m a big nerd, but I guess being in IB and band in high school made me like this. I’m short in the common sense department, though, but I guess I’m just short in general. I’m also really clumsy: I trip over nothing and everything, I spill dinner onto my lap, I walk into trash cans, and if that wasn’t enough, I always find myself losing things. It definitely makes life more interesting, though. Regardless, I’m always smiling and always happy. I have an OBSESSION with McDonalds sweet tea and Starbucks frappuccinos and sleeping. Currently, my biggest goals are to keep a 4.0 gpa throughout college (almost impossible, but a girl can dream) and get accepted into the UF P.A. program for graduate school (also almost impossible). Anyway, can’t wait to meet you all soon, and go gators
